Fit and Healthy Workforce Programs

Early intervention and prevention are the keys to a healthy workforce

How do your employees understand and practice wellness? When do your employees make health a priority? How can Occupational Health Nurses assist your employees to become responsible for their own wellness? How might these activities impact the overall health culture of your organization. These four questions framed Lesley's research project for her MA in Leadership: Worker Engagement in Health Promotion. Her nursing research project explored the level of worker engagmenet in health and wellness initiatives for one New Westminster based organization. It was discovered that worker engagement is through communication, work-site activities, provision of information and sustained by frequency of work-site events.
